Abstract and paper handling


The rather time consuming activitiesregarding complete handling and co-ordination of the abstract selection, can behandled by Medicongress.

This means that the following activities areprovided:
  • confirmation of receipt of abstract
  • numbering of all abstracts received
  • copying the abstracts
  • preparing the abstracts for reviewing (per topic)
  • selection of the abstracts by the reviewer
  • preparing a scoring list for the reviewers
  • mailing of the abstracts to the reviewers
  • gather the final scores per session in spreadsheets
  • preparation of the meeting of the Scientific Committeefor abstract selection
  • presence of 1 MC collaborator during abstractselection meeting(s)
  • confirmation of acceptance (or rejection)
  • coordination with the Scientific Committee regardingselection, acceptance etc..
  • contacts with the publishers
  • preparation and distribution of the GeneralInformation regarding presentation AV equipment to the authors with an oralpresentation
  • preparation and distribution of the GeneralInformation regarding the display and removal of the posters.
  • preparing the programme based on the selectedabstracts
  • mailing relevant abstracts to the various chairpersonsper session
  • co-ordination with the lay-out company and with theprinting company for printing the programme
  • contacts with suppliers for producing the abstracts ona CD-Rom
  • all correspondence with participants having submittedan abstract
