Wednesday, May 21 – Jazz Cruise

The ship ‘Seastar’ will take you on a trip along the Belgian coastline, while enjoying live jazz music and barbecued food, dessert and coffee.

Thursday, May 22 – Film

A film on homeopathy will be shown at the Kursaal. Admission is free of charge, but pre-registration is mandatory.

Friday, May 23 – Gala Dinner

The gala dinner will take place at the Belfry in Brugge. This historic building overlooks the canals and is the perfect setting for a musical and culinary evening among colleagues and friends.

Transport from and to Brugge will be provided.

Wednesday, May 21 – Excursion 1: Brugge (09.00 – 18.30 hrs)

Guided walk through the rich history of the city, followed by a boat trip on the slumbering canals of Brugge – graciously patrolled by swans and fringed by characteristic step-gabled houses. Afternoon visit of brewery ‘De Halve Maan’ of which the roots date back to the 16th century, and where modern technology and craftsmanship go hand in hand, followed by some leisure/shopping time.

Bus transport, entrance tickets, and lunch are included.

Thursday, May 22 – Excursion 2: Ypres (09.30 – 18.30 hrs)

Visit of the museum ‘In Flanders Fields’, the most spectacular World War I museum ever. The lively evocation of the terrors of war will leave no visitor untouched. Visit of the infamous battlefields of the Great War and the Menin Gate in the afternoon.

Bus transport, entrance tickets and lunch are included.

Friday, May 23 – Excursion 3: Oostende (10.00 – 17.00 hrs)

Sightseeing by bus: the three-master Mercator, the Seamen’s Memorial, the Lighthouse, etc. Visit of the ‘Fort Napoléon ’, a Fort built by Napoleon in defence against a possible invasion from England . A British invasion never came, but during the two world wars, the fort was used by the German military. Afternoon visit of the Oyster Beds, situated close to the beach and the dunes. You will be invited to taste a few oysters, amongst others the famous “Ostendaise”.

Bus transport, entrance tickets and lunch are included.

Cancellation

In case there are too few participants for any of the excursions or social activities, the organisers reserve the right to cancel the activity. If so, the registered participants will be notified in time and will receive a 100% refund.

Participants cancelling before April 1, 2008, will receive a 50% refund. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after this date.

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing to the Organising Secretariat.

All refunds will be processed after the Congress
