On February 19, Medicongress received the BOOST Award for the organisation of the World Congress of Homeopathy in May 2008. This award was an idea of the Tourist Board of the city of Oostende and awards the best congress organised in 2008. Our thanks goes to our whole team and the Organising Committee of this congress for their hard work in the 5 years of preparation and the perfect organisation resulting is achieving this award.

Medicongress has developed together with the Create Multimedia Company a state-of-the-art electronic poster viewing device operating on 24' Mac Computers and 42' touch plasma screens. The system was introduced during the September 2008 SECEC Congress and all computers were permanently occupied. For a demo visit

The 2008 ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communication) organised in Brussels was a major success. More than 8000 participants were registered (1250 conference particpants, 2100 exhibitors and more than 5000 exhibition visitors).

Medicongress will also organise ECOC 2012 in Amsterdam.

After having organised the 1st SpineWeek in Porto, Portugal 2004 and having organised numerous spine surgery congresses, Medicongress has again been selected as the PCO for the 2012 Spineweek. This 3rd SpineWeek will be organised in Amsterdam
